With an EU mobile plan, roaming in France is usually included. Travelling from outside the EU, including the UK, check your plan; a France or Europe eSIM is often the simplest option.

Install before you travel, activate on arrival.
Options
- eSIM: buy online, scan a QR code, done. Check your phone supports eSIM and is unlocked.
- Local SIM: French operators sell prepaid SIMs in towns and at tobacconists; you'll need ID.
- Wi-Fi: available in most hotels, cafés and trains.
Coverage
Coverage is good in towns and along main roads, but can be patchy on remote headlands, in the Monts d'Arrée and on smaller islands. Download offline maps before coastal hikes.
